Bio

Dr. Andrew “Andy” Johnson was a Professor Emeritus of Computer Science and former Director of Research at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), focusing on advanced visualization and human-computer interaction for collaboration and learning. His work involved developing collaborative virtual reality environments and contributing to various research areas, including human factors, devices, and education. He retired in 2024 but continues to be engaged with the EVL.
