SIGGRAPH 1999
MGI’s digital film recorders feature award-winning technology used to image digital effects in over 200 motion pictures. See the professional-level Solitaire Gemini and the Solitaire Cine V.
SIGGRAPH 1998
MGI develops and manufactures solutions for quality printing and imaging in the digital color graphics industry. MGI has two main product lines: digital film recorders and raster image processors.
SIGGRAPH 1997
The Solitaire Cine III is the most advanced in MGI’s line of film recorders designed to support post-production, special effects, and animation companies around the world. Using an improved custom CRT, the Cine III produces the most pure and vibrant colors, blackest blacks, and whitest whites available for continuous tone or computer-generated cine images. The new Cine FLX camera module features an enhanced optical path and contrast enhancement technology for dramatic improvements in sharpness, clarity, and contrast when imaging with the Solitaire Cine III.
SIGGRAPH 1996
Management Graphics, Inc. is exhibiting the Solitaire Cine III Image Recorder and the new Cine FLX camera module. Solitaire Image Recorders were used to image all 100,064 frames of the hit movie “Toy Story,” and have been used to image futuristic special effects in “Forrest Gump,” “The Mask,””Goldeneye,””Jurassic Park,””Terminator 2,” and “Batman Forever,” among others.
SIGGRAPH 1995
Management Graphics, Inc. is exhibiting the Solitaire Cine III Image Recorder, the most advanced in MGI’s line of film recorders designed to support post-production, special effects, and animation companies around the world. The Cine III images are as fast as 18 seconds per frame at 2K or 4K resolution. Solitaire Image Recorders have been used to create futuristic special effects in Forrest Gump, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2, The Mask, and Batman Returns.
SIGGRAPH 1994
Management Graphics, Inc. (MGI) shows the Jet Stream Color Image Server for use with Xerox 8900 Series (Versatec) large format printers/plotters. Jet Stream combines a high-powered RISC-based workstation, an Adobe PostScript Level 2 interpreter, and extensive network connectivity, enabling users to maximize throughput and produce premium color graphics for posters, murals, and maps in minutes rather than hours. In its first public showing, MGI also introduces the Solitaire Cine III, with new technology to improve contrast and density range on cine images.
SIGGRAPH 1993
Management Graphics, Inc., exhibits its Solitaire Image Recorders for animation, special effects, remote sensing, business graphics, scientific visualization, and other fields requiring high-resolution color images on film. Solitaire supports more than 17 film formats, from 16mm, 35mm (slide and cineformats) upto 8″x10″. Also showing color management software: ColorFit and the bulk-load 4″x5″ CP.
SIGGRAPH 1992
MGI features award winning Solitaire Digital Film Recorders that produce 2K, 4K, 8K, and 16K images in formats from 35mm slides through 8″ x 10″ transparencies. In addition, MGI’s imaging solution for large corporate networks, LANslide, is demonstrated.
