    SIGGRAPH 1999

Evans & Sutherland provides visual system products for graphics, education, training, and entertainment applications. E&S products are used for professional workstation graphics, visualization, large format theater, virtual sets, and training simulation.

    SIGGRAPH 1998

Evans & Sutherland manufactures realistic visual systems for vivid 3D graphics and synthetic environments. Our REALimage technology supports CAD, digital content creation, desktop simulation, and graphics products used by NT workstation suppliers.

    SIGGRAPH 1997

Evans & Sutherland develops and manufactures hardware and software for highly realistic visual systems that produce vivid 3D graphics and synthetic environments. E&S’s systems are used in a variety of applications, including broadcast-quality virtual sets, location-based entertainment experiences, planetariums and domed theaters, desktop graphics, and commercial and military simulation and training.

    SIGGRAPH 1996

Evans & Sutherland provides the most extensive line of 3D, real-time visual system products and services available today from one vendor: hardware, software, displays, development tools, integration, and support. Our newest technologies are incorporated in cutting-edge products we’ve developed for the broadcast and multimedia industries.

    SIGGRAPH 1995

E&S builds high-performance computer image generators, graphics accelerators, and off-the-shelf or custom environment software for cost-effective, 3D graphics solutions. Turnkey VR products include the Virtual Glider hang gliding experience; Virtual Adventures, the most advanced multiplayer VR game; and Digistar II, the world’s only digital planetarium projection system.

    SIGGRAPH 1994

The Power Behind the Scenes, Evans & Sutherland, takes you to the depths of Loch Ness with Virtual Adventures, an interactive VR attraction co-developed with Iwerks Entertainment. Then, turn your favorite workstation into a graphics station. The Freedom Series is the power behind the scenes for the world’s leading workstations.

    SIGGRAPH 1993

Evans & Sutherland features the latest in simulation and graphics technology. See the ESIG-2000 low-cost image generator with applications in training, education, and entertainment; CDRS design software, created for designers to develop, view, and evaluate free-form surface models demonstrated on multiple platforms; and the Freedom Series graphics accelerator.

    SIGGRAPH 1992

Evans & Sutherland features the latest in both simulation and graphics technology. See demonstrations of the ESIG-2000 low-cost image generator with applications in training, education, and entertainment. CDRS industrial design software, created for designers to develop, view, and evaluate free-form surface models, is also being demonstrated on the ESV high-performance graphics workstations.

    SIGGRAPH 1991

The Evans & Sutherland booth features the latest in both simulation and graphics technology. Visitors can see the sophistication and image quality of the ESIG-2000 low-cost image generator. CDRS industrial design software and AVS visualization tools are demonstrated on ESV high-performance graphics workstations.

    SIGGRAPH 1990

Evans & Sutherland produces state-of-the-art computer graphics systems, including the ESV Workstation series, PS390 graphic terminals, and CDRS industrial design systems. E & S systems are used to create, view and interact with 3D computergenerated models and offer unmatched image resolution. Applications include molecular design, industrial design, CAE, and science/research/mathematics.

    SIGGRAPH 1989

The computer division of Evans & Sutherland designs and builds interactive supercomputing systems for scientific and engineering applications, high-performance 3D graphics hardware for a broad customer base, and specialized software for molecular design. At SIGGRAPH ’89, E&S announces CDRS, a turnkey computer-aided industrial design system based on new modeling technology and rendering capability.

    SIGGRAPH 1988

E&S designs, builds, sells and services high-performance 3-D computer graphics systems for applications requiring complex, dynamic high-quality wireframe representations of 3-D model data and high-quality shaded renderings of polygonal data on the same raster display. Stereo viewing is also available to provide additional 3-D visualization cues.

    SIGGRAPH 1987

Evans & Sutherland will demonstrate a new 3-D terminal using the company’s new Shadowfax Technology VLSI circuitry. This new technology displays fully anti-aliased, calligraphic quality wire-frame images on a raster display with full 3-D dynamic control. Screen resolution is 8192x 6912; graphics features include real-time dynamics of wire-frame images, image calculation and display, and compatibility with existing E&S PS 340 and PS 350 programs.

    SIGGRAPH 1986

Evans & Sutherland features real-time dynamic 3-D molecular modeling and engineering design applications featuring the Evans & Sutherland PS 340 and PS 350 Computer Graphic systems. System features include 3-D perspective and depth-cueing, viewporting and six-plane clipping standard. A distributed graphics architecture allows graphics manipulations to be performed in the user station, freeing the host to run applications programs almost uninterrupted. Interfaces include RS 232, Ethernet, VAX Parallel, and IBM 2358 and 5088.

    SIGGRAPH 1985

Featured will be the Evans and Sutherland PS 340 and PS 350 high-performance 3D computer graphics systems displaying a variety of application software solutions including mechnicol, computer aided design and analysis, and molecular modeling.

    SIGGRAPH 1979

Multi Picture System is a new Picture System product from Evans & Sutherland. The Multi Picture System is the cost-effective solution for multiple terminal installa- tions requiring high-performance 3-D graphics capabil- ities. Each Picture Station provides real-time user interaction with a 3-Dimensional model displayed with state-of-the-art image quality. Evans & Sutherland has broken the color barrier with the first full color line drawing system. Dynamic motion, line drawing computer graphics, and full, rich, bright color-the complete spectrum including blue- this combination has not been available anywhere before. Evans & Sutherland has overcome this barrier with the latest addition to the Picture System product line: The E&S Color Display.
