Hiroaki Yano received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan, in 1997.He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Systems and Information Engineering, University of Tsukuba. His research interests include development of haptic interface and locomotion interface, haptic rendering algorithms, and their applications.
