    Folsom Research manufactures broadcast-quality scan converters and video windowing systems. Our high-quality product line includes the 9700XL, 9400JR scan converters and the 9600VIP-windowing system. The 9700XL D1 output makes the 9700XL the choice for the broadcast professional.

    SIGGRAPH 1997

    Folsom Research demonstrates its new award-winning Model 9700XL, a full featured video scan converter. The product sets a new standard for video output performace. The Model 9700XL connects to any computer or high- resolution imaging source and delivers broadcast-quality video output in RGB, NTSC, PAL, S-VHS, BETACAM, 31.5 Khz, and CCIR 601 Digital Video. We are also demonstrating our Model 9400JR, the most affordable true broadcast-quality scan converter available, and our Model 9600 VIP video windowing system.

    Folsom Research is displaying the following products: (New!!) Model 9700XL, the full-featured video scan converter that sets a new standard for video output performance. Connect the Model 9700XL to any computer or imaging system, or other high-resolu- tion source, and get broadcast quality video output in RGBm NTSC, PAL, SVHS, BETACAM, 31.5Khz and serial D1.We are also showing our Model 9600VIP windowing system and our Model 9400JR, a lower-cost version of the Model 9700 XL.

    SIGGRAPH 1995

    Folsom Research, Inc. introduces our new video-in windowing product: the Model 9600 VIP video-in peripheral designed for applications that require displaying up to four real-time live video windows on a workstation or PC monitor and simultaneously display video from up to four video cameras, recorders, or teleconferencing systems. We are also displaying our latest scan converter Models 9400 JR and 9500 SR. Both provide auto-sync and broadcast-quality conversion of any high-resolution computer or video source to NTSC or PAL.

    SIGGRAPH 1994

    Folsom Research is introducing two new products that convert high-resolution workstation or PC video to standard NTSC video formats. The models 9400 JR and 9300 PC were designed for the general purpose user who needs a broadcast quality autolocking scan converter, but doesn’t need the added features found in the Folsom Research High-end Converter model 9500 “Otto”.

    Folsom Research is displaying its newest scan converter product—the new Otto. This converter automatically synchs to any workstation, PC, or medical image source. A user-friendly menu allows for ultimate control over the scan conversion process. Otto features full pan and zoom as well as adjustable filters for motion, flicker, and gamma corrections.

    Folsom Research is introducing its newest scan converter product, the new OTTO. This converter automatically syncs to any workstation or medical image source. A user-friendly menu panel allows for ultimate user control over the scan conversion process. OTTO features full pan and zoom as well as adjustable filters for motion, flicker, and gamma correction.

    SIGGRAPH 1991

    A leader in scan conversion technology, Folsom displays products that convert any high-resolution workstation graphics to standard television formats. Products are available for major workstations including Sun, IBM, SGI, DEC, and HP. Product features include real-time scan conversion, digital frame buffer access, video frame grab, on-board V-LAN, and support for imaging and animation software packages.

    Folsom Research exhibits its entire line of video scan converter products. FRI’s large product offers every converter needed, with both stand-alone and boardlevel converters. Folsom Research is introducing two new products at SIGGRAPH ’90: CGC II, a multipleinput scan converter with enhanced resolution and video output formats; and Video/9U, a new VME board-level product that supports SUN, SGI and other workstations.

    SIGGRAPH 1989

    Folsom Research is demonstrating several new scan converter products from its comprehensive line of board-level and stand-alone systems. The scan converters were designed to convert any high-resolution video source to standard NTSC or PAL video.

    SIGGRAPH 1988

    F.R.l. is exhibiting its new Monarch CGC Color Graphics Converter, which converts any high-resolution image to both RS170A RGB and NTSC formats in real-time. For use with video recorders, disks and projectors, the Monarch CGC can be used with nearly any workstation or terminal.
