    SIGGRAPH 1995

Diskus, a real-time desktop disk recorder, offers up to 62 seconds of compressed 10- bit CCIR-601 recording. Diskus provides the fastest transfers using ethernet or fast and wide SCSI-2. Other features include VTR control, time code in/out, and custom Adobe Photoshop and Premiere interfaces. Diskus integrates easily with SGI, Sun, Mac, and PC platforms.

    SIGGRAPH 1994

Abekas shows its full range of CCIR-601 Digital Disk Recorders. Features include high-speed Ethernet & SCSI-2 interfaces for image transfer and control. Also nonlinear random access segment play-back and disk partitioning for multi-user access. Abekas DDRs are ideal for 3D animation, compositing, and paint applications. Also exhibited is the ASWR8100, a low-cost, very high quality, real-time compositing system.

    SIGGRAPH 1993

Featured products: A66DigitalDisk Recorder: more than 50 seconds of CCIR-601 video storage, with net- working options for greater capacity, Ethernet and SCSI interfaces; New! A65 Digital Disk Recorder: more than 25 seconds of CCIR-601 video storage, SCSI and Ethernet interfaces standard; A57 Digital SpecialEffects: 10-bit,frame-based, real-time video effects.

    SIGGRAPH 1992

New low cost A65 Digital Disk Recorder with SCSI and Ethernet for under $25,000. Using Ethernet, the A65 acts as a video file server on a computer network. Rendered images are digitally transferred for real-time playback. Also showing new Ethernet and SCSI option for A66 Digital Disk Recorder.

    SIGGRAPH 1991

Using Ethernet and SCSI, the A60 Digital Disk Recorder offers the perfect interface to animation computers for video transfer and machine control. The A60 provides real-time digital video recording and playback. The A72 Digital Character Generator eliminates rendering time required for creating characters and includes animation and compositing capabilities.

    SIGGRAPH 1990

A60 Digital Disk Recorder-using an Ethernet portprovides the perfect interface to animation computers for both video transfer and machine control. A SCSI port and CCIR 601 inputs and outputs are also provided. A72 Digital Character Generator and A53-D Digital Special Effects feature SPORT (Special Programs On Remote Terminal) interface.

    SIGGRAPH 1989

Using an Ethernet port, the A60 Digital Disk Recorder provides the perfect interface to animation computers for both video transfer and machine control. Playback functions of the A60 may also be controlled via Ethernet. A60 with Touch-up provides complete A60 and VTR control from the Paintbox tablet. The A64 Digital Disk Recorder provides real-time layering in the CCIR 601 digital format. Whether used in the edit suite or in the graphics room, the A64 is the ultimate compositing tool.

    SIGGRAPH 1988

Using an Ethernet port, the A60 Digital Disk Recorder provides the perfect interface to animation computers for both video transfer and machine control. Playback functions of the A60 may also be controlled via Ethernet. The A64 Digital Disk Recorder provides real-time layering in the CCIR 601 digital format. Whether used in the edit suite or in the graphics room, the A64 is the ultimate compositing tool.

    SIGGRAPH 1987

New for SIGGRAPH, the A60 Digital Disk Recorder is a real-time component digital recording device ideal for recording single frames from graphics systems. Ethernet & SCSI ports provide digital video transfer from computer graphics devices. The A64 Digital Disk Recorder is a 4:2:2 component digital playback device, switcher and recording device all in one. The A64, a DVR- 1000, and the A53-D make it possible to create a 4:2:2 digital edit suite capable of real-time layering, editing and effects.

    SIGGRAPH 1986

Abekas will exhibit the A62 Digital Disk Recorder. The A62 is a compact, Winchester Disk based real-time digital video recorder with storage capacities of 50 to 100 seconds. Features include random access, variable speed playback, internal digital matting and simultaneous record/ play capability.
