SIGGRAPH Asia 2024
Jiabao Li creates works exploring climate change, interspecies co-creation, humane technology, and perception, using mediums like wearables, robotics, AR/VR, performance, and installations. In her TED Talk, she discussed how technology shapes our perception of reality. Jiabao is an Assistant Professor at UT Austin and founding director of the Ecocentric Future Lab. Recent solo exhibitions include “Progenitorial Hysteresis,” “Ecological Soup: Interspecies Encounters,” and “Perception Omnifold.” Jiabao has received numerous awards, including Forbes China 30 Under 30, iF Design Award, and the Webby Award, STARTS Prize, Fast Company, Core77. Her work has been exhibited at Venice Architecture Biennale, MoMA, Ars Electronica, Exploratorium, Future of Today Biennial, Milan and Dubai Design Week. Her academic papers have been published in top conferences and journals like SIGGRAPH, CHI, IEEE VIS, and Nature sub-journals. She graduated from Harvard GSD with Distinction and a thesis award.
