Texnai exhibits and demonstrates a Macintosh-based image database system: “LaserFilelH”. In the LaserFile III, a video disk recorder is used for the image storage, but it is demonstrated using Sony’s write-once recorder, LVR-3000AN, and NIKON’s microscope as an image-input device.

SIGGRAPH 1991

Texnai U.S.A, demonstrates the Fujix Pictrography 2000, a new 24-bit digital color printer offering unparalleled color gradation, long-term image stability, and high-speed output. The printer requires no chemistry other than water. Software drivers are currently available for Macintosh, PC DOS, and UNIX workstations. Other drivers are under development.

Texnai is exhibiting a high-quality color image station PBX-Studio/AT using the Color Laser Copier 500; CLC-Master, a general purpose controller for the Canon Color Laser Copier 500 (Macintosh Version); and FBX24VF/AT and FBX32/SUN, newly developed videographic boards.

Texnai is exhibiting its newly developed frame buffers such as FBX24/AT, FBX32HD, and a 386-based image archiving and retrieval system, GWS386-opt. The FBX24/AT is a full-color adapter (1 K x 1 K x 24-bit) for PC-AT compatibles and the FBX32HD is a frame buffer (2K x 2K x 32-bit) designed for VME bus and HDTV applications. The GWS3 86-opt is a fully integrated system equipped with 5″ optical disk drives, FBX24/AT, 200 DPI color image scanner TX-200, and an ink-jet color printer. LaserFile is its MS-DOS-based image file manager, and YUI is a newly developed paint program.

Texnai will demonstrate their high-resolution CCD Scanner, laser memory, intelligent printer buffer, color printer and newly developed FBX24V, a 1024x1024x24-bit frame buffer with NTSC Genlock and Encoder and their PC based fully integrated graphic system with application software including full color paint GIOTTO, ray tracing EMA, and image filling programs. Multiprocessing Module MPX68020 which was designed for PC users as a fully optimize ray tracing engine will also be exhibited.

Texnai CGL will demonstrate their newly developed single board graphic display controller, FBX24 for 16-bit PC such as the IBM PC AT, NEC PC9801 series. FBX24 was originally developed as a personal frame buffer for full color and high- resolution printing use but is also available for TV and video use as it has both NTSC compatible and non-interlaced output. Texnai CGL also will demonstrate their own Ray Tracing program running with FBX24 and IBM PC AT.
