    SIGGRAPH 1994

MEGATEK introduces a Dual-User 3D ViewStation for incredibly fast and affordable high quality 3D realism. Patented INSTACUITY technology, 24- bit true color, multi-object transparency, texturing, surface anti-aliasing, and 1280 x 1024 resolution. Significant price/per- formance advantage. Database compatible with Computervision’s CADDS5 and accepts geometric data from many other CAD/CAM systems.

    SIGGRAPH 1993

Megatek Corporation features a new 3D graphics co-processor with improved interactive visualization for CAD/CAM. Advanced features—proprietary single-pass real-time line and polygon anti-aliasing, transparency, texture mapping, patterns, and multiple light-source shading. Also 2D accelerators for multiple users/multiple screens on VME and S-Bus.

    SIGGRAPH 1991

Founded in 1972, Megatek, a United Telecom/US Sprint Company, designs and manufactures high-performance graphics accelerators and subsystems on RISC computing platforms with standard UNIX environments accommodating standard graphics libraries. Megatek also provides field service and integration services for Sun and Sun-compatible hardware and software.

    SIGGRAPH 1990

Megatek is demonstrating the premier line of highperformance PHIGS graphics products, both as Sunbased workstations and as board-level products. The PHIGStation and PHIGSEngine products provide accelerated graphics for the Sun SPARCstation 1 and other VME-based SPARC platforms. Also on display is Megatek’s 944 visual simulation image generator.

    SIGGRAPH 1989

Megatek demonstrates two high-end workstations utilizing Sun computing platforms. SIGMA 70 offers breakthrough performance—2,000,000 vectors/second and 240,000 polygons/second—and is ideally suited for graphicsintensive applications, such as, simulation, scientific visualization, and C3I.The Megatek IGW 200 merges highspeed graphics with image processing capability for mapping, and intelligence applications.

    SIGGRAPH 1988

Megatek will demonstrate the SIGMA 20™, its new Sunbased graphics workstation. Interactive display terminals will also be featured: 9100 for high-speed wireframe applications; 9300 for fast surface rendering applications; 900 for real-time dynamics with shaded objects. Target markets include defense, animation, scientific and engineering applications.

    SIGGRAPH 1986

Megatek introduces the newest member of its 9000 series solids rendering systems. The 9300 is custom VLSI-based providing 10 times the processing speed of existing 9000 products. Megatek also introduces its first PC-based, dynamic, interactive, 3-D graphics system. The 911 processes 10,000 shaded and rendered polygons per second.

    SIGGRAPH 1985

Megatek will exhibit the company’s complete line of high resolution, high performance computer graphics systems including the MEGAstation 3300.

    SIGGRAPH 1984

Megatek wll exhibit its entre line of Whizzard computer graphics systems and terminals and will also be introducing a new graphics system at the show.

    SIGGRAPH 1983

    The WHIZZARD® 1645 is a monochromatic, high-resolution, moderately priced desktop engineering terminal. The 1650 is an eight-color desktop moderately priced terminal. The 7245 is a 1K X 1K monochromatic, 3-D raster system. The 7255 is a 1K X 1K 16-color, 3-D raster system. The 7295 is a dual workstation configuration of 3-D monochromatic and 16-color raster terminals.

    SIGGRAPH 1979

Megatek will be displaying high-quality, vector refresh, interactive computer graphics systems. Modular design allows for cost-effective graphic systems for either end-users or OEM’s addressing turnkey markets. Powerful FORTRAN software routines, remote terminal capabilities, and multi-display, clustered terminal facilities further simplify the system designer’s implementation job.
