David Cooper is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff in the User-Interface Technology Division of Hewlett-Packard. The emphasis of his current assignment is on user-interface performance. He is the Technical Director of the Graphics Performance Characterization (GPC) committee and was a member of the PHIGS + ad hoc group. David has been working in the area of computer graphics for over 10 years and was one of the principal designers of Hewlett-Packard’s Starbase graphics library. He has managed microcode and hardware efforts for many of HP’s graphics systems. David currently sits on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Case Center for CAE and Manufacturing at Michigan State University.
