SIGGRAPH Asia 2024

Yasuyuki Yanagida is a professor in the Faculty of Information Engineering, Meijo University, Nagoya, Japan. He received B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in mathematical engineering and information physics from the University of Tokyo in 1988, 1990, and 2000, respectively. Yanagida was a research associate at the University of Tokyo from 1990 to 2001 and a researcher/senior researcher at Advanced Telecommunication Research Institute International (ATR), Kyoto, Japan from 2001 to 2005. His research interests include virtual reality, augmented reality, and interactive interfaces that make use of various sensory modalities including haptic and olfactory displays. He currently serves as a vice chairperson of the Virtual Reality Society of Japan (VRSJ).
