Title:

    Content based sketch annotations for collaboration

Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    Sketch has the advantage that it can easily convey one’s intent. Studies have been investigated to utilize it as an efficient expression method for collaborative work in 3D virtual spaces. Most studies focus on just putting sketches in 3D virtual spaces and utilizing as annotations. However, if the sketch objects are not arranged effectively within the 3D virtual space, other collaborators may not recognize the exact meaning of annotations. Hence, we are focusing on the content based sketch annotation method to resolve this issue. Based on the content of sketch annotation, the recognition processes and representation methods should be different. So, we categorized the sketch annotations according to their features and suggested three types of content based sketch annotation techniques.
