Break away from the crowd with TDI Explore V2.3, interactive software for 3D animation. Explore delivers six animation modes, 2D mapping, 3D texturing, fast rendering, and more. The most intuitive tool for computer-aided industrial design (CAID) is TDI’s Explore Designer, featuring NURBS-based modeling and extensive CAD/CAM interfaces.

TDI presents EXPLORE, a high-performance 3D computer graphics software, for the animation, architectural visualization, and industrial design markets. Distributed worldwide through a network of subsidiaries and distributors, EXPLORE has already established itself as a leader on European and Asian markets. TDI presents the new 2.1 Version at SIGGRAPH.

SIGGRAPH 1988

TDI Systems division presents the latest version of its 3-D animation package: EXPLORE. This highly interactive system is demonstrated on the new Silicon Graphics superworkstation. EXPLORE’s newest additions include model deformation and articulated animation tools and interfaces for most CAD systems and high definition output devices. TDI image division features a selection of its most recent 3-D computer animated television, commercial, cinema and corporate productions.

TDI performs graphics services that include: creation and animation of 2-D and 3-D images with high-end special effects for TV, commercials, corporate/scientific films and for the cinema. TDI’s Systems Division will present a new hardware and software package for 3-D animated image production, running on 5 mips PC or Silicon Graphics IRIS workstation.

TDI (Thomson Digital Image) is at the forefront of computer generated imagery in Europe. TDI’s full product range includes: creation and animation of 2-D and 3-D images with high-end special effects for commercials, corporate and scientific films, architectural simulations, TV titles and logos, and cinema special effects all produced from our proprietary in-house software. TDI also sells software packages on UNIX workstations for the modeling, lighting, animation and rendering of synthetic imagery.

Thomson Digital Image was formed in September 1984. TDI works in the field of computer generated images for TV shows and broadcast, advertising, and long range movies. TDI, issued from the Flying Simulators Division of Thomson, has developed its own software in computer graphics. TDI uses the most powerful computer in its field in Europe.
