    SIGGRAPH 1991

Ramtek demonstrates TERRAIN — a new remote sensing system. The convergence of database technology, image processing, and mapping into a unified spatial data system is gaining momentum. TERRAIN provides the means to easily interchange information between real world images and geographic models via a functionally comprehensive and intuitive graphic user interface.

    SIGGRAPH 1990

Ramtek’s Millennium Visualization System provides 80 MegaFLOPS of floating-point processing power, 10 MIPS of graphics, 16 Mbytes of system memory, 2K by lK resolution, live video in a window, and X Window acceleration. The Ramtek Millennium is the first imaging solution that offers an imaging standard-and it connects to any workstation.

    SIGGRAPH 1989

Ramtek Corporation, headquartered in San Jose, California designs and develops computer display systems for imaging and graphics markets such as command and control, process control, remote sensing, weather, seismic, and medical imaging.

    SIGGRAPH 1987

Ramtek’s entries into the imaging and graphics marketplace are the highly configurable 4660 display peripheral and the 4320 graphics terminals. The 4660 facilitates an array of features: 12-bit video lookup table, independent pan/zoom, windowing, film looping and powerful overlays. The 4320 series provides an optimized on-board instruction set called Ramtek Graphics, an optional 3-D instruction set is available.

    SIGGRAPH 1986

Ramtek announces two new products: the 4311 graphics terminal and the industry’s first fully integrated, 32 bit UNIX based workstation designed specifically for imaging applications, featuring 1280 x 1024 resolution, high speed communications and superior graphics. The 4311 is a high resolution terminal offering GKS, CGI and Tektronix 4115 compatibility.

    SIGGRAPH 1985

Ramtek is a manufacturer of high performance graphics and imaging display systems, processors, terminals, workstations and peripherals. Ramtek products range from low priced color bit mapped desktop terminals to high performance 3-D shaded surface generators for complex 3-D design and animation.

    SIGGRAPH 1984

The 2020 series is a new generation of compatible graphics terminals that address CAD/CAM applications, from advanced design of complex solid models to engineering analysis and drafting. Designed to offer the high performance of a closely-coupled 3-D graphics workstation and the flexibility of device independence, the 2020 also features the most advanced technology available today including the highest resolution 60 Hz non-interlaced color display, The system architecture 1s based on parallel pipelined processing, with up to five dedicated processors to handle display lists, geometry operations, vector-to-raster conversion, peripherals, and host communications. The 9000 series of display generators also offers high performance and resolution, and feature local instructions for processing both graphics and image data types. This makes them particularly suitable in applications which require graphics overlays to an image backg round.

    SIGGRAPH 1983

Ramtek will be exhibiting an entire family of colorgraphic display generators, terminals and peripherals. Featured will be several new products including a new graphics display system, which is a sophisticated OEM graphics/imaging system with 1280 X 1024 resolution and pixel write speeds of 37 ns per pixel. The system is suited for command and control, simulation, and CAD/CAM/CAE applications. In addition, the new RM-9465 deskside graphics display system offers the high resolution of the standard RM-9460 — at the price of low resolution — for CAD/CAM, business graphics, medical or seismic imaging, and process control. Also recently introduced is the RM-6221, which combines VT100 capabilities with a quality colorgraphics terminal. The 6221 surpasses standard VT100 text attributes with a color character selection and more pages and page formats. The family of products displayed includes the RM-9460 graphic workstations, colorgraphic printers and video film recorder.

    SIGGRAPH 1979

Ramtek will exhibit a complete line of raster scan color graphics computer terminals which offer a full range of prices and capabilities. The company will also show their high resolution imaging and graphics display systems for sophisticated graphics and image processing applications.
