Digital Arts is demonstrating the latest versions of the DGS product line. DGS software modules include advanced 3D modeling, motion scripting, and rendering on a variety of PC-based hardware platforms. Digital Arts is introducing both new features and new platforms at SIGGRAPH ’89.

Digital Arts will feature DGS 2.1, the latest version of our advanced, PC/AT software for 3-D modeling, animation and rendering. New rendering features include unlimited lights, surfaces and polygons, as well as soft-edged shadows. Animation improvements include nine individually adjustable motion channels and multiple morphing targets.

Digital Arts will present the latest version of DGS 1.0, a 3-D graphics and animation software for PCs. The new features for DGS 1.0 include better and faster modeling and scripting tools, variable resolution rendering and anticipated support for the AT&T VISTA 32 frame-buffer card.

Digital Arts Company will introduce an advanced PC-based 3-D computer animation system. Key features include: fractal landscapes, reflection and texture mapping, multiple simultaneous object movement, multiple light sources with varying color and intensity, and animation of all object features including transparency and color.
