Patrick Maillot is an Engineering Manager at Sun Microsystems. He has been involved with the design and development effort for XGL and PHIGS. He is currently a participant in the PHIGS Immediate Mode Rendering committee. He has published many articles on graphics design with a particular interest in performance issues and has a recent patent on polygon dipping techniques. Patrick holds a Ph.D in computer science from the University Claude Bernard, Lyon. France.
