Abstract:


    Integral photography (IP) [Lippmann 1908] is an ideal way to display 3D autostereoscopic images—spatially formatted visible images can be formed from an arbitrary viewpoint. Integral videography (IV) is an animated extension of integral photography. IP/IV uses both horizontally and vertically varying directional information and thus produces a full parallax image, making it a promising method for creating 3D autostereoscopic displays. The use of autostereoscopic display for computer graphics (CG) displaying is a technological innovation because it augments the image depth for 3D display without use of any supplementary glasses or tracking devices. In this study, we present an object based image rendering and image synthesis method for increasing the image depth and the quality of IV image.
