    Motion stylization using a timing control method

Abstract:


    The purpose of this research is to propose a method of motion stylization using a timing control method. Our final goal is to make cartoon–like 2D animation from 3D animation data. Hatsuyama [1] and Koie[2] introduced methods to exaggerate motion, but their methods don’t deal with all the exaggerated expressions. Therefore, we propose a method that could handle all these expressions together. Furthermore, our method can extract key-frames from motion capture data, and 2D robot-like motion and character motion could be made based on key-frames extracted from motion capture data.
