Abstract:


    We present a two-lobe parametric phase function for light scattering in water droplets (fog/clouds) with fully analytic evaluation and importance sampling. We combine an HG lobe for the forward peak with Draine’s phase function. Our model maintains much of the accuracy of Mie scattering, without requiring extensive data tables.
