SIGGRAPH 2020

Thierry started his service career as a Student Volunteer at SIGGRAPH 1994. He was Chair of the Paris Professional Chapter from 1996-2002 and a member of the Professional and Student Chapters Committee from 1996-2020. In 2001-2004 he was the Director for Chapters on the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee. He was the Director for Information Services on the Executive Committee from 2004-2009 and also served on the Executive Committee 2011-2012.

He has held key positions for the SIGGRAPH Conference. From 1995-2003 he was a member of the International Resources Committee and was the International Resources Chair at SIGGRAPH 2002. In 2001-2004 he was an Executive Committee Representative to the Conference Advisory Group. He was the Emerging Technologies Chair at SIGGRAPH 2014 during which he worked closely with Laval Virtual on the installation exchange program. He is the Business Symposium co-chair for SIGGRAPH 2020. He has served as reviewer and jury member many times, including Courses, Posters, and the Unified Jury.

For SIGGRAPH Asia, Thierry served as the SIGGRAPH Asia Conference Advisory Group chair from 2009-2011. This was a crucial early time for SIGGRAPH Asia one year after its start in 2008. Thierry’s long experience with both the organization and the SIGGRAPH Conference gave SIGGRAPH Asia, with its new set of volunteers and varied venues, much needed stability, and experience in the SIGGRAPH culture.

Thierry represented ACM SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH in Europe for many years at partner events such as Laval Virtual, MIFA-Annecy, FMX and VIEW conferences. Thierry was awarded the ACM SIGGRAPH Outstanding Service Award in 2020.
