    Şölen Kiratli is an artist, architect, researcher, and lecturer at the University of California, San Diego. She received her Ph.D. in media arts and technology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her work is interdisciplinary and deals with issues of agency and digital technology. She is the recipient of several awards from renowned institutions, including SIGGRAPH (Best in Show award, 2020) and Fundación Telefónica (VIDA 13.0, Artistic Production Incentives). Her work has been exhibited internationally at many venues, including SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia Art Gallery, ISEA, New Technological Art Awards (Finalist), CURRENTS New Media, Contemporary Istanbul, IEEE VIS Art Program, and ACM Multimedia Art Gallery.

    As the SIGGRAPH 2024 Art Gallery Co-Chair, Şölen is responsible for the outreach, submission process, and implementation of an exhibit of innovative, high-quality, fine art and/or design produced using computer graphics and interactive techniques.

    Şölen Kiratli is an artist, architect, researcher, and lecturer. Her work is interdisciplinary in nature and lies at the intersection of sound, interactive media, and digital design and fabrication. Her work has been exhibited at SIGGRAPH Asia, CURRENTS New Media, Contemporary Istanbul, and NIME (New Interfaces for Musical Expression), amongst other places. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Media Arts and Technology Program (MAT) at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where she focuses on digital media practice and research. She holds a BSc in Architecture and an M.Arch.
