Abstract:


    We present a generalized spectral coarsening method based on Hodge Laplacians that applies to triangle meshes, tetrahedral meshes, and general simplicial complexes. Our algorithm greedily decides the contraction order of simplices by minimizing “spectral leaks” of chosen spectral subspaces of Hodge Laplacians in different dimensions in tandem.
