Abstract:


    We propose a novel approach to simulate multi-layered thick shells, using a dual-quadrature prism finite element formulation to avoid shear locking. To efficiently capture fine wrinkling details, we then couple a high-resolution membrane to the thick shell and efficiently solve the constrained problem using our custom alternating minimization solver.
