Abstract:


    The course will mainly describe how to build and simulate behaviour for social robots and virtual humans. It will describe the recognition techniques, the memory as well as the emotions model and the generation of the reactions. Several case studies mainly with social robot Nadine will be presented.

    Level: Intermediate

    Prerequisites: Computer graphics and multimodal interaction basic knowledge. Some knowledge in basic robotics and 3D printing would be good.

    Presentation Language: English

    Intended Audience: People with want to have some knowledge on multimodal interaction techniques and a broader know how on virtual humans and social robots. People interested in the link of social robotics and Virtual characters are welcome as well as how to build VH and social robots.
