Abstract:
In this sketch we present a simple algorithm to generate images with interesting semi-regular patterns resembling contemporary rug designs. The algorithm produces the patterned images by recursively replicating pixel values from a source image according to very simple rules. The included images are representative examples of the images produced with this algorithm.
