Abstract:
Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) is an open-source software library and ecosystem that provides a scalable and robust solution for interchange and collaboration between digital content creation tools and other runtimes. This course will provide an introduction to some best practices in handling OpenUSD data, examples of how proceduralism can enable new workflows, some intermediate subjects such as Materials, the expanded capabilities of Hydra 2.0, and present how we use NVIDIA Omniverse Fabric to enable runtime optimizations including GPU interoperability.
