Title:

    Customizable panoramic maps

Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    A technique for resurrecting the making of panoramic maps is proposed. The art of making these maps disappeared due to the difficulty to depict current cluttered urban areas, and the enormous artistic effort required for drawing an area in panoramic view. We present techniques to reduce clutter by enabling user customization of content to be depicted in the map, and overcome the need for extensive artistic effort by devising procedural rendering techniques to enable computer aided generation of panoramic maps.
