Constructable: Interactive construction of functional mechanical devices

Session/Category Title:   Complete Fabrication

Abstract:

Constructable is an interactive drafting table based on a laser cutter that allows users to draw directly on the workpiece using handheld laser pointers. The system tracks the pointer using an overhead camera, beautifies its path, and cuts the workpiece.
