Title:

    Chocolate Milk - VR and Autism

Presenter(s)/Author(s):

Abstract:

    Chocolate Milk is a VR immersive experience co-created by Jonathan Weiner, a person with autism from New Jersey. Sonja Bozic (producer/director) was inspired by Jonathan’s enthusiastic personality and decided to co-create a VR experience as an exploration of his mind. We use VR technology to translate his emotions in certain situations and understand his behavior. Jonathan uses visual language to create space in which the viewer will feel the same as him.The technology development over the past decade has allowed the person with autism to co-create his biographical story and break the wall between people on the spectrum and neurotypicals.
