SIGGRAPH 1992
Nth Graphics is showing Nth Portable GL graphics library, which lets existing Silicon Graphics (SGI) applications run on other platforms by simply recompiling. The software is a platform-independent version of Silicon Graphics’ IRIS GL v4.0 library. Nth is showing SGI code running on Sun, Hewlett-Packard, and Samsung workstations.
SIGGRAPH 1990
Nth Graphics is showing the new X-Windows acceleration system for the Nth Engine/350 display controller. This full implementation of Xl 1R4 runs entirely on the Nth Engine. Also shown is the NthTV video animation system, which provides direct, simultaneous output to NTSC from 1280 x 960 resolution Nth Engine/550 and 660.
SIGGRAPH 1989
The Nth 3D Engine display controller performs 3D display list processing at speeds comparable to expensive graphics workstations. Operating at 10 MIPS, 3 MFLOPS, it fits into a single AT-bus card slot and runs 3D applications 10 times faster than an 80386-based PC. For software developers, it comes with the HOOPS graphics library which makes development easier and faster, and makes applications portable across platforms. Resolutions up to 1280×1024. 2MB RAM, standard. 256 colors.
SIGGRAPH 1988
The Nth 3-0 Engine™ renders, transforms, shades and interactively picks 3-D objects in seconds-giving PC-based design systems the speed and graphics capability of $50,000 graphics workstations. The Nth Engine™ display controller increases PC CAD productivity with two-second zooms and pans, Zoomslides™ and Nth View™.
