    SIGGRAPH 1991

Alliant Computer Systems demonstrates the FX/2800 family of RISC-based supercomputers. The FX/2800 family offers stand-alone and distributed supercomputing solutions to handle technical challenges at the scientific data center, departmental, or project level. The FX/2800 with 28 i860 processors delivers 1.12 GFLOPS (double precision) and 1148 VAX MIPS.

    SIGGRAPH 1990

Alliant provides a wide range of compatible, expandable, high-performance, parallel supercomputers and visualization systems for computationally intense applications in science and engineering. Alliant demonstrates the new standards-based FX/2800 supercomputer, which supports animation, simulation and control, computational chemistry, mechanical design and analysis, computational fluid dynamics, image and signal processing, and advanced problems in math and physics.

    SIGGRAPH 1989

Alliant and Raster Technologies, an Alliant subsidiary, demonstrate the Visualization Series, a family of multiuser visual supercomputers that combine parallel supercomputing with high-performance PHIGS/PHIGS+-based 3D graphics; the GX4000 3D graphics accelerator for Sun workstations; the Model One family of 2D and 3D graphics terminals; and VISEDGE, a menu-based visualization environment for engineers and scientists.

    SIGGRAPH 1987

Alliant Computer Systems Corporation will demonstrate its FX/Series™ minisupercomputers, which offer high-speed vector and parallel processing for computationally intense applications such as visualization. Alliant will demonstrate integration of its systems with a variety of graphics devices and workstations, using ANSR (Alliant Network Supercomputing Resources) tools such as NFS, NCS, the X-Window System and NeWS.
