Chen hosts digital heritage workshops at SIGGRAPH Asia 2016/2017 with interdisciplinary experts. In 2018, Dr. Chen demonstrates the web-based interactive installation of Counting Beads Avalokiteśvara in the cave 125 at the “Transference: Images and Archives of Dazu Rock Carvings” exhibition; Chen also presents the digitization process in the “Virtual Journey: Chinese Buddhism Art and Architecture In the Digital Era ” exhibition at the Charles B. Wang Center, NY; Chen further collaborates with art historians and conservators to host Mellon Buddhist Workshop at the Freer Sackler Gallery to share the research concepts from the digital heritage perspective. www.bodyasechoes.com
