Dr. Bridson is a research scientist and manager at Autodesk focused on simulation for visual effects in the Bifrost project, and previously was a professor at UBC while also co-founding Exotic Matter. She has co-invented algorithms such as FLIP for incompressible and free-surface fluids and curl-noise, wrote the book “Fluid Simulation for Computer Graphics”, and in 2015 was awarded an Academy Award for her early work on sparse voxel structures.
