Prof. Pan Hui is Chair Professor of Computational Media and Arts and Director of the Center for Metaverse and Computational Creativity at HKUST (Guangzhou). A globally recognized expert in ubiquitous computing and AR/VR, he is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and IEEE, and a Member of Academia Europaea. He has held prominent roles in both academia and industry across Europe and Asia, including Distinguished Scientist at Deutsche Telekom Laboratories and Nokia Chair in Data Science at the University of Helsinki. His work bridges cutting-edge research with practical innovation in emerging digital technologies.

Professor Pan Hui received his PhD from the Computer Laboratory at University of Cambridge, and both his Bachelor and MPhil degrees from the University of Hong Kong. He is a Chair Professor of Computational Media and Arts and Director of the Centre for Metaverse and Computational Creativity at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), and a Chair Professor of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas and Director of the HKUST-DT Systems and Media Lab, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is is an International Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, an IEEE Fellow, an ACM Distinguished Scientist, and a member of Academia Europaea.
