Julian Humml works as a Staff Scientist and Principal Investigator at Caltech’s Center for Autonomous Systems and Technologies (CAST) and Graduate Aerospace Laboratories (GALCIT). His main research interest is creating automated algorithms for measurement devices and augmented reality, aiming to develop smarter tools that aid understanding. Additionally, he investigates large-scale wind tunnel flows and explores the use of machine learning in quantitative experimental methods. Julian previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Caltech after completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zurich.
