Bio:

  • SIGGRAPH 1982

    John Tartar is Professor of Computing Science and past Chairman of the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. His research activities are in the areas of Computer System Modeling, Microcode Optimization and Computer Architecture. He is or has been chairman or member of numerous ACM Boards; he is member of the Canadian Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Strategic Grants Policy Committee; he is a reviewer of various ACM Journals and the IEEE Transactions on Computers. He holds a PhD from Arizona State University.
