SIGGRAPH 2025
David Hirschfield graduated from the inaugural class of Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center master’s program. He has worked at Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco for over 20 years as a Technical Director and in R&D, focusing on user experience development for ILM’s StageCraft Virtual Production system. David specializes in user experience research and interaction design, and has digital artist or research and development credits in films spanning from Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, and Transformers, to animated features like Rango, and streaming series like The Mandalorian.
