Anderson Maciel is an associate professor with the Department of CS and Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. He is also an integrated member of INESC-ID. He holds a Master’s degree in CS from UFRGS (Brazil) and a Ph.D. in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality from EPFL (Switzerland). He conducts research and innovation projects in the area of visual computing, including computer graphics, virtual reality, physics-based simulation, human-computer interaction, and haptics. He is the author of more than a hundred papers in indexed journals and peer-reviewed conferences and is an associate editor for the C&G and CAVW journals.
