Abstract:
For straightforward mapping to time-varying 3D geometry (weather simulation, for example), quite a few visualization tools and techniques are available. But for problems with high dimensionality, abstract quantities or relationships, or diverse kinds of information, visualization solutions remain elusive. These and other visualization issues were addressed by a panel representing a variety of pertinent disciplines: computer graphics, human factors, cognitive science, and the graphic arts. Panelists also presented visualization solutions designed to solve these kinds of visualization problems.
