Abstract:


    Production Designer Raymond Zibach and Head of Story Phil Craven will talk about their trip to China to gather important research materials to help guide them in creating an accurate and beautiful depiction of the Chinese culture. They will talk about the regions and landmarks they observed on their trip and demonstrate how they influenced portions of the film.

    Due to a last-minute scheduling conflict, DreamWorks Animation had to cancel Jennifer Yuh Nelson’s travel to Hong Kong to attend SIGGRAPH Asia 2011. She will be replaced by Phil Craven, Head of Story of the Kung Fu Panda 2 filmmaking team during the Featured Speaker session ‘The Influence of Chinese Culture in Designing Kung Fu Panda 2’.
