Abstract:
We present a geometric optimization framework that can recover fold-over free maps from non-injective initializations via shifting the singular values of the deformation. Our regularization scheme naturally yields more stabilized Hessians with compact expressions for their eigensystems. Extensive experiments show that our framework is extremely robust in practice.
