Description:

InterActor consists of three examples of diverse applications of “hypermation” as implemented using Very Vivid’s InterActor authoring program for the Commodore Amiga. Dynamic hypermations display inter-object collision, remote triggering of object state transitions and sequenced animated effects with object behaviors including bounce, gravity, and magnetism. The first application shows InterActor as a hardware system modeler with user inputs initiating complex inter-object behaviors. The second application takes hypermation to the 1evel of video game development with integrated scorekeeping, sprite use and challenging game play. The third application combines multiple media and alternative user interaction to explore extensions to contemporary interface design in education and presentation.
