This study combines bottom bathymetry, river discharge, hydrographic (temperature and salinity) datasets, and tidal datasets for the Chesapeake Bay, as well as circulation distributions from a numerical circulation model constructed for the Bay. This demonstration enables viewers to “see” and experience the interaction of complex oceanic systems such as circulation and ecosystem dynamics.
