[ SIGGRAPH 1988 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1987 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1986 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1985 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1984 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1983 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1982 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1981 ] [ SIGGRAPH 1980 ]

    SIGGRAPH 1988

Featured is the newest graphics processor from KMW Systems-the Vexcel GT, an optional Ethernet attachment and spooler allow multiple users to share the Vexcel GT and its attached hardcopy device. Also shown is the KMW complete line of protocol converters and channel interfaces.

    SIGGRAPH 1987

KMW Systems will exhibit The Right Connections with the complete line of vector to raster converters. The latest addition to this line, the Vexcel GT, a high-performance graphics element processor that maximizes CPU performance will be featured. More Right Connections on display will include the VP-10 and VP-30 graphics processors, and the Auscom 8911A Channel Interface for IBM connectivity.

    SIGGRAPH 1986

KMW’s VP200 will be featured exhibiting the newest technology available. KMW also will exhibit its graphic element processors that front end hard copy devices such as electrostatic plotters, printers and color cameras, as well as communication products used for direct and remote connection and channel interfaces that allow hi-speed direct connection to IBM mainframes.

    SIGGRAPH 1985

Auscom provides proven and reliable direct mainframe channel attachment for a wide variety of graphics systems and peripherals. These high-speed host connections are available using parallel interfaces or LANs. Auscom is exhibiting 3 varieties of channel interfaces: The 8300 Single Board, the Q-bus-based 8900A and the Multibus-based 8600.

    SIGGRAPH 1984

KMW will feature its VP10, 20, 30 Series of Vector Processors, controllers designed to eliminate host computer overhead associated with the vector-raster conversion task. The VP10 is the latest single board technology for connecting the low cost raster hard copy devices to a mainframe computer. The VP20 is most usable in a seismic plotting application. The VP30, KMW’s most sophisticated Vector Processor, is for use with large wide-bed electrostatic plotters. These products accept random (or sectored) vectors, symbols and other graphic information from a host mainframe computer, translate the data at computer speed and drive the various output devices at rated speed, independent of the hard copy device manu- facturer. Host input formats include KMWPL Calcomp 906,907,960 and 925 emulation.

    SIGGRAPH 1983

KMW will feature its VP30 Series Vector Processors that accept random vectors, symbols, and other graphic information from the host mainframe, reduce it to raster form and output to electrostatic printer/plotters, color graphics cameras and other raster output devices. The VP30 operates in either a dedicated (unattended) mode, or as a fully interactive (programmable) remote graphics workstation. Host input configurations include channel interfaces, magnetic tape and high speed communications protocols.
