    SIGGRAPH 1987

    3M will be demonstrating the 3-D animation system for the professional video markets. The 3M animation system is based on the Silicon Graphics IRIS 3130 workstation and is available as a total video compatible in/out system. The 3M SILVER video production workstation provides real-time video: digitizing, manipulation, digital effects, colorizing and mirroring. Additional software also provides animation, text and video paint.

    3M will exhibit a photographic transparency maker, an infrared transparency maker, a lettering system, overhead projectors, a stand-alone minicomputer, and projectable films for the above equipment.

    SIGGRAPH 1979

    COMTAL manufactures the finest interactive digital image processing exploitation equipment available. The new product Vision One/ 20 will be presented which highlights multi-user dynamically allocable RAM refresh memory with true image frame array processing of thirty frame operations per second. Image memories up to 4096 x 4096 x 8 bits, roam, zoom, scroll, brightness correction, convolution, true color processing and color correction (both locally and globally), iterative and recursive filtering, all in real time, are all featured in the Vision One/ 20. Raster graphics, and a firmware turnkey operating system of over one hundred high level linkable program instructions are provided in the unit.
