Emily Hsu is a producer whose mission is to empower and advocate for the ability of storytelling across the mediums of animation, gaming, visual effects, and beyond. Currently a line producer at Netflix Animation with prior experiences at Blizzard Entertainment, LAIKA, Pixar Animation Studios, and PDI/DreamWorks, she enjoys finding the intersections where art and technology meet and engaging with this community around the world as one of the founders of the Society for Game Cinematics and through her work in SIGGRAPH.
Emily has been an avid volunteer for SIGGRAPH for over a decade, having started her conference journey as a Student Volunteer, then as Team Leader, subcommittee member, and finally program chair. Emily previously chaired the Oscar-qualifying Computer Animation Festival Electronic Theater and Production Sessions for SIGGRAPH 2017, 2018, and 2019.
As SIGGRAPH 2024 Real-Time Live! Chair, Emily manages the outreach and submissions process, jury selection, review and acceptance, and final execution of the live show as well as any related Real-Time Live! content on-site at the conference. When it comes to presenting in real-time, anything can happen!
