This scientific visualization explores the iconic Pillars of Creation in the Eagle Nebula and the various ways that stars and dust are intertwined within our galaxy, vibrant nebulae, and the birth of individual stars. Data from research papers and several NASA space telescopes underlies and informs the 3D models.
Additional Information:
Astronomers and artists combined ground-based kinematic data with Hubble’s visible-light and Webb’s infrared-light observations to create the first multi-wavelength 3D volumetric model of the Pillars of Creation.
