Axel Paris is a Research Scientist at Adobe Research located in Paris. He defended his PhD in Computer Graphics at Université de Lyon in 2023 under the supervision of Eric Galin and Eric Guérin. His research focuses on physical simulations, implicit surfaces, and virtual environments. More specifically, he tries to find ways to foster artistic creation with new authoring tools for manipulating 2D and 3D shapes efficiently, at the interface between procedural generation and physics-based simulation. He is involved in sustainability topics, advocating for transparency on various environmental impacts of computer graphics.
