Bio:
Pierre Shum (岑逸少) is a PhD student at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, and a recipient of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. With a cross-cultural, multidisciplinary background in architecture, design, curation, and art education, his research focuses on evolving Chinese calligraphy into multi-dimensional digital media. He aims to distill the essence of this cultural heritage while exploring sculptural, experimental technological augmentations. Pierre holds a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art, UK, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Bath.
