Dr Frank Guan is an Associate Professor at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). He owns seasoned research interests and experience in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and artificial intelligence (AI). Dr Guan serves on the editorial board for 5 leading international journals and has served as conference committee for 40+ international conferences and events. Dr Guan is the winner of the inaugural SIT Fellowship Award in 2024 and sits on the judging panel of Lee Hsien Loong Interactive Digital Media Smart Nation Award. He received the Andrew Fraser Prize from IMechE in 2006 and was awarded the “SMART Innovation Fellow” by Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) in 2015. He served on the Advisory Board of 3 tech startup companies. Dr Guan is a member of ACM SIGGRAPH and a Senior Member of IEEE.
